The Kent Park & Recreation Learn to Skate & Hockey Development program is a great way to learn the basics of ice skating and/or hockey fundamentals in a fun and supportive environment. The "Learn to Skate" aspect of the program is an introduction to ice skating and is geared towards young children and those just learning how to skate. "Hockey Development" builds on the basic skating skills with more advanced drills while also beginning to incorporate the fundamentals of stick handling and puck work. Please note that all skates are assessed during the first couple of sessions and only move from Learn to Skate into Hockey Development with the approval of instructors.
