The Town of Kent Park & Recreation Department runs an After School Program at the Kent Center School for children in kindergarten through 8th grade that attend KCS.  The program takes place on school days (except early dismissal days) beginning immediately after school and running until 5:30p.  The program allows children much flexibility in the indoor and outdoor activities they can choose to take part in and also includes daily snack time, team-building and positive-interaction activities, and homework time.LOCATION: Kent Center School, 9 Judd Avenue in KentTIMES: Immediately After School until 5:30pCOST: $12.50 per session attended.  Account is invoiced monthly, $12.50 non-refundable deposit required for all transactions including single-day and same-day reservations.AGES: Kindergarten through 8th Grade; KCS students onlyPlease note that registration for any given day will close at 12:00p sharp on that day.  We cannot take sign-ups after that point.Also note that scholarships are available for those in need via the Kent Community Fund; contacted the P&R office for details.If you have any questions at all please e-mail us at parkandrec@townofkentct.org for more information.

Kent Park & Recreation is proud to be able to once again offer our Youth Soccer program for the fall of 2023! The Town of Kent Park & Recreation Department runs an After School Program at the Kent Center School for children in kindergarten through 8th grade that attend KCS.  The program takes place on school days (except early dismissal days) beginning immediately after school and running until 5:30p.  The program allows children much flexibility in the indoor and outdoor activities they can choose to take part in and also includes daily snack time, team-building and positive-interaction activities, and homework time.LOCATION: Kent Center School, 9 Judd Avenue in KentTIMES: Immediately After School until 5:30pCOST: $12.50 per session attended.  Account is invoiced monthly, $12.50 non-refundable deposit required for all transactions including single-day and same-day reservations.AGES: Kindergarten through 8th Grade; KCS students onlyPlease note that registration for any given day will close at 12:00p sharp on that day.  We cannot take sign-ups after that point.Also note that scholarships are available for those in need via the Kent Community Fund; contacted the P&R office for details.If you have any questions at all please e-mail us at parkandrec@townofkentct.org for more information.

Kent Park & Recreation is proud to be able to once again offer our Youth Soccer program for the fall of 2023! With coed programs for children 3 years old through 6th grade - all taking place at the Kent Center School - there's something for everyone right here in Kent!Pre-K: Start Smart Clinic (Minimum Age of 3 for the Pre-K Group)Runs from 5:15p to 6:00p on Wednesdays 9/20 through 10/18This clinic-style program introduces children to soccer through fun group activities.  Parental involvement is required!K & 1st Grade: 4 v 4Sessions run from 5:15p to 6:15p; Tuesdays and/or Thursdays.  Begins week of 9/4.Players will be broken down into teams and will play in instructional level 4 on 4 games designed for fun and learning!Please contact Jared at parkandrec@townofkentct.org if you're interested in coaching!!2nd - 4th Grade: 5 v 5Sessions run from 5:15p to 6:30p; Mondays and/or Wednesdays.  Begins week of 9/4.If possible players will be broken down into teams and will play in instructional level 5 v 5 games designed for fun and learning.  If there are not enough players to form teams, program will run as a clinic with scrimmage games.Please contact Jared at parkandrec@townofkentct.org if you're interested in coaching!!4th - 6th Grade: Skills ClinicSessions run from 5:15p to 6:30p; days TBD.  Begins week of 9/4.This program is designed for players in the 5th - 6th grade to enhance their soccer skills through practices, drills and other activities.NOTE: This program has been cancelled.  4th graders have been moved into the 2nd & 3rd group and all other sign-ups will be refunded.  Parents of 6th grader should contact KCS as 6th graders are allowed to play for the school team this year.Program Cost$40 per participantIncludes t-shirt
